The theme for Burning Man in 2001 was "The Seven Ages" of life.

The theme artwork created a journey from birth through death. The maze held the place of the Age of Reflection. The age prior to death. The Age of Reflection is a time of looking at the choices you have made and the paths you have taken through your life.
